Hudson Valley VR was created by Daniel Weintraub as an outlet for his passion for 360° Video and the increasing demand from his clients for the format. Daniel has a career spanning twenty five years in video production. His passion for new technology is a consistent string throughout his career.
When affordable digital formats first arose, Daniel seized the opportunity to experiment with the new potential to create quality videos for lower cost. Soon after that Daniel was one of the first artists to master the Avid DS Nitris. This was not only Avid's first HD capable machine, it was one of the first computers capable of handling everything from editing, to color correction, to complex compositing. This all-in-one approach is now commonplace in post production. Via the Nitris, Daniel became an early expert in HD and was hired by the first ever all HD network, Voom, to create a post-production workflow and train other editors.
Enter 360° degree video. As soon as the quality reached an acceptable level, Daniel threw himself into the new technology. He recognized not only what an amazing creative and experiential medium it was, but also how valuable this exciting medium could be for his clients. After gaining a deep understanding of the visual aspects of 360, Daniel brought in the audio maestro Carl Welden. Carl is a fellow traveler in the world of technological innovation.
